English Determiners - Les Déterminants en anglais

The = something specific! Ex. I ate the pizza that was on the table.
Note: I love pizza. (no the when in general, not specific!)

A before consonant sounds! Ex. I read a good book. I like eating a sandwich for lunch.
An before vowel sounds! Ex. Christopher saw an elephant at the zoo. You are eating an orange. Note: A and an mean one (1). The plural of a and an is nothing (rien)! Des filles = girls, des livres = books...

Some = a little bit, a part of something! Ex. May I drink some water? I had some cheese for breakfast.

This (ce/t/te..ci) singular; these (ces...ci) plural! Ex. I am borrowing (emprunter) this book and these scissors for my project. This game is too long!

That (ce/t/te...là) singular; those (ces...là) plural! Ex. That car is falling apart (tomber en morceaux). Those people are talking too loud (trop fort).
